The Journal of Gastronomy was published from 1985 through 1993 and was a seminal journal discussing all aspects of the study of Gastronomy, providing a synergy between the fields of health, nutrition, history, sociology, oenology, and geography.
Like many pre-web publications, there is sadly a dearth of information about the Journal of Gastronomy available on the Internet. With this web site I hope to correct that and develop a resource for people engaging in the study of Gastronomy.
I hope to greatly expand this site as well as
add additional information resources to such publications as Gastronomica,
Propos Culinaires, Wine
and Food, Convivium,
World Gatronomy, and Turnover.

If you are interested, I might have a whole bunch of duplicate issues
available for sale or trade. Please contact me if you are interested
in any issues and I'll let you know if I have a copy to spare.
I do not yet have a complete set. So far
I have indexed the issues that I do have. These are marked with
an asterix next to each issue number listed on the left. I am particularly
interested in obtaining any issues that I'm missing so I can complete
I am also planning on detailing, describing, and
summarizing all the issues and articles. Perhaps, eventually I will
converter some of this information into a database, and perhaps
publish a complete index to all this issues.
